Sociology 100 – Garry

Childhood Picture

Most M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors have fond memories of the childhood M.U.S.C.L.E. collection, but sadly they do not have any pictures of their childhood collection. A smaller number of those collectors are able to articulate how M.U.S.C.L.E. impacted their collecting – and even their life.

One collector, Garry from Dayton, Ohio, is in the lucky minority. Not only does he have his original childhood collection of over 500 figures, he also has a picture of himself with part of that collection.

Garry’s collection of over 500 figures has not grown. While he deeply loves M.U.S.C.L.E. becoming a full-scale collector never appealed to him. His passion for M.U.S.C.L.E. figures actually led him in a different direction. It led him into the world of professional wrestling. Since 2006 he has wrestled as “Scary Garry.”

Collectors will likely notice the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures tied into his hair. The M.U.S.C.L.E. figures are something that many other wrestlers notice. Garry mentioned how often other wrestlers share their love of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures when they see them tied into his hair.

For more information about Garry, his wrestling, and/or his music be sure to check out his website (Jacurutu3.com). You can also follow him on Twitter (Scary_Garry).

The entire M.U.S.C.L.E. community applauds his M.U.S.C.L.E. passion and thanks him for his special contribution.

If you would like to submit M.U.S.C.L.E. related pictures from your childhood, please email the pictures to the University of M.U.S.C.L.E.. An accompanying description to provide additional information about the pictures would also be greatly appreciated.
