Manufacturing Error Figure – The #223 Trend?

#223
All Manufactured Colors

As the Figure #223 portion of the online version of the UofM M.U.S.C.L.E. Figure Guide was being built, an interesting discovery was made. Two of the seven manufactured figures had manufacturing errors.

These two #223 figures did not sport identical errors, like the #227. It is interesting to consider that the #223 figure may be prone to manufacturing errors. These two figures with errors were collected from various lots of figures over a number of years.

However, the Green #223 sports nearly the same hand and foot errors as the Flesh (or is it Salmon?) #223 that was one of the original Manufacturing Error Figures cataloged in 2009.

If any collectors has a #223 that also has some type of error, then please email the University of M.U.S.C.L.E.. It would be interesting to discover that #223 was prone to manufacturing errors.

Weird that you bring this up… somebody just emailed me a pic of a factory error of #35 a couple of days ago. It looked almost identical to the one on your site. I’ll bet some MUSCLEs were prone to injection errors, maybe because of their placement on the injection tree.

I’d love a copy of the picture! We could add it to the collection.

I actually feel very confident that certain figures were prone to errors. The reasons could be numerous, but it fits perfectly with the sheer volume of figures that were produced.
