M.U.S.C.L.E. Figure #2 – Terri-Bull (Buffalo Man)
by Professor Terry
This week’s MMMM centers around the figure known to most of us as Terri-Bull.
He was on the packaging for the 4-pack and the 28-packs, plus he was one of only two M.U.S.C.L.E. figures which Mattel named (the other being figure #1 Muscleman). As children most of us found out pretty quickly that Terri-Bull had many different sculpts, but only one with the broken horn.
For me, this made Terri-Bull a special figure and a must have because this figure was the one that matched the packaging. Terri-Bull was also the leader of the “Cosmic Crunchers.” Whatever that is.
Terri-Bull (figure #2) has always been one of my favorites and I believe it has something to do with my liking of the villains in every story: Darth Vader and the Emperor in Star Wars; Johnny Lawrence in The Karate Kid; Skeletor in He-Man; Megatron in Transformers; Triple H as a heel; and the list goes on.
My quest for Terri-Bull in every M.U.S.C.L.E. color has been a long one. Many of the #2 colors are quite common, however the Purple #2 is a Class A figure and much more difficult to find. Only recently was I able to win a Purple #2 on eBay. I really didn’t care what it cost this time around, I wanted this collection complete!
Now the dream is to find an unproduced Green #2 like the character featured on the box front of The M.U.S.C.L.E. Mega-Match Game. There are many other versions of Terri-Bull (Buffaloman) – many of which will be covered in future MMMM installments. Some of figures even have the broken horn (on the wrong side), but none of them hold a candle to M.U.S.C.L.E. figure #2 – the original Terri-Bull.
