Monday Morning M.U.S.C.L.E. Musings #13

This week’s MMMM is about figure #112, which is one of the coolest looking figures in the M.U.S.C.L.E. line.

Many of collectors know that the Sunigator figure is a shape shifting figure that has five different sculpts in the M.U.S.C.L.E. line. The most notable figure being #153 (covered in MMMM #6), but also figures #6, #72, #112, and #204.

The #112 is a very cool looking lizard, especially in green! This figure holds a special place for me as I actually had a green one when I was a child. Luckily, a green #112 isn’t going to set you back a lot of money. So if you don’t have one, I suggest you add one in green – even if you prefer the Flesh color figures!

Unfortunately for me, I want to get all my favorite figures in every color and #112 has two Class A figures: (1) Red; and (2) Salmon. I have always found that those figures exclusive to 4- and 10-packs are much more difficult to locate. Only recently did I locate a Red #112 and was able to make a trade. I still have not seen a Salmon figure.

I am lucky though to own two different custom painted figures of #112. The purple one was done by LRG member Plastic Playhouse and the green/yellow one was done by an unknown artist. That one actually turned up in a lot of figures I found on eBay.

The #112 figure is one of those figures that has not received much attention in other lines of Kinnikuman figures. So I have to be content with what is available.
