When Action Figure and Space Creature Party first appeared it didn’t have a proper home. It was grouped with Website Review because it was something on the web and that catagory seemed to make the most sense. That situation has arisen again with the video, “What Are Kinkeshi?”
About a week ago, Tyler, sent a link in a Twitter direct message to the video below:
Apparently the video was created by Don (datadub) Kratzer as a part of something called PechaKucha Global Night. What’s that? According to their channel it says,
For one night on September 20, 2013, the global PechaKucha Night community came together to celebrate each city’s “hidden heroes.” The events were also connected online through the Global Hangout, a worldwide Google+ Hangouts chat that ran as a wave around the world for close to 20 hours.
Overall the video is really strong and very interesting, but the reaction of M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors and mini-figure artists would be even more interesting.
What do all of you think of the video?

I saw the video a few days ago & thought it was a nice piece – it didn’t go into the Kinkeshi world in great detail but a useful introductory video it makes!

I think the video is definitely from the view of somebody that hasn’t payed as close attention to the field as, say, the guy that runs this site. There was some interesting ideas presented about the future of the hobby, but I think there will always be a demand for Kinnikuman keshigomu. It mystifies me, that they haven’t done updated sculpts of some of the newer story characters.
