Manufacturing Error Figure or Tortured Figure?

Auction Watch #139 featured an Orange #163 figure. A M.U.S.C.L.E. collector bought it and asked us whether we believed it was a genuine Manufacturing Error Figure. The answer was a resounding yes.

That figure has been added to the Manufacturing Error Figure archive.

As I dig through some files and emails trying to get acclimated I found another figure that poses the question, “Manufacturing Error Figure or Tortured Figure?

    I say Manufacturing Error due to the characteristic spherical stump caps and no charring. M.U.S.C.L.E. PVC is a thermoset plastic that burns rather than re-flows when heated; at least that’s my understanding. I’ve never had the heart to take a Bic to a fig.
