Epilogue – Week of November 29th

I have some mixed emotions this week. I received a lot of positive feedback from sharing a bit more about my life and my boys. I genuinely enjoyed it too. There’s so much shit “out there” that it felt good being a more positive part of “out there.”

I think writing that last paragraph helped me. I could bitch and complain, but that wouldn’t even help me. It would let me wallow. And it might bring others down. I know I don’t want either of those things to happen.

Thank you for reading my stream of consciousness this week. It really helped me to write it.

What has happened this week? There really isn’t a tent pole event. I guess week to week doesn’t really have tent-pole events; weekly you probably get a few memories. I can tell you one.

I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday night. My oldest was playing piano. He asked his piano teacher to teach him the Star Wars theme. She said he wasn’t quite ready, but he wanted to learn it before The Force Awakens comes out. I don’t know why, but I’ve learned you don’t argue with him about things like that. (If you view that as positive, then he gets it from me. If you viewed it as negative, then it’s his mother’s fault. 😉 )

Anyways, I was making dinner. My oldest was practicing and my youngest came into the room. He was wearing his winter jacket and had a flashlight (of course). He plopped down and started making shadow puppets (again, of course).

I’ve got to tell you, it was a really nice moment. I had to stop and take it in. Then foolishly I thought, “I should try and get some video of this.” I pretty much missed it. It would have been nice to have, but thankfully I took an intense mental picture. I will always have that memory of the boys just being happy. No anger. No fear. Just safe. Just happy.

It might be boring for them, but I wish I could have frozen that moment and feeling forever.

If I become a super villain, then point to that last sentence. That’s when it started.

Mr. Freeze. What a great Batman villain. Hey! Speaking of Batman, last month I was asked when my NDA is over. I assume it is when Batman v Superman comes out.

I mention that because of the new trailer. I am 100% sure I will be cut out of the movie. I was skeptical when I was on the set, but I am sure the scene will be cut. In fact – if it is used, then it will be used as a news report seen on a TV. I mentioned this fear before, so I won’t 100% repeat it.

The BvS trailer made me look back at some of the “hints” (things I had seen and/or heard) I posted on the site. The weren’t great hints.

For example, this post has shitty hints. Today, everybody knows that Superman shows up in DC. We know that he appears before an Investigative Congressional Hearing. We see a full room in the trailer. I was in the scene that was supposed to proceed that scene. I was a Senator’s aide when the room was empty. Holly Hunter spoke in a whisper. Although many of her lines in the trailer were the lines I heard her say. The super close-up of her face doesn’t bode well for me.

I should just do a full write-up of my experience. Next week. If you have any questions, then feel free to post the in the Comments. I will answer anything. You can use this post as a thought starter too.

This blew my mind. There are only 4 Canadian M.U.S.C.L.E. auctions.
I believe $3.50 is a fair price for this auction. It’s BIN is $30.

Ok, sorry in advance. But this auction made me think of this comment, which has been stuck in my brain since I read it. With a per figure price of $4.37 a full set (#1-#233) would cost $1,019.

I know all sellers don’t consider this, but c’mon everybody. M.U.S.C.L.E. figures are like the Super Mario Bros. game from NES. Everybody had one. Open and played with it is valueless now. And we know millions of these figures had to have been made.

We can agree to disagree on Class A prices, but the basic Flesh madness needs to end.

Come. On. $1,395 Flesh set.
$5,825 Flesh set.
51 Flesh figures that started at $9.99.
Wouldn’t it appeal to more buyers to list Ram-Man with M.U.S.C.L.E. bonus?
AOTW.
“hours of fun.”
38 mostly Flesh figures, free shipping, and started at $2.95.
At any price, it takes balls to list this lot.

Time to wrap this thing up.

It’s not too easy to put a neat bow on this week’s post. I’ve kind of swerved all over the place.

With that said – I still want to connect it all in some way. Something that will inspire hope and happiness. Something that brings in the costumes and ladies that are, apparently, popular on the site. Plus a nod to Batman and Superman.

I don’t want to break my arm patting myself on the back, but I think the picture to the right is the perfect choice.

Well done me, well done.
