Nestle Quik M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures

How Professor Terry Remembers Quik

The Nestle Quik figures for me have always been an interesting side note to M.U.S.C.L.E. collecting. Something I wouldn’t mind having, but not that all relevant. The reasons being: (1) the Quik offering with M.U.S.C.L.E. was not sold in Australia; and (2) the can it was packaged in was more square and I always remember the cans being cylinder.

I’ve always held off adding Nestle Quik figures to my collection. After all, they are flesh figures in a plastic sealed baggie with a bit of white paper backing. Perhaps if there was Quik branding on that white backing I would have been more inclined to add them.

With the lack of M.U.S.C.L.E. and Kinnikuman items that are left, that I want to add to my collection, I felt with the recent influx of Nestle Quik figures being available I’d finally bite the bullet and add a couple to my collection. I now have two!

The two I now own are #15 and #22. The #15 is an obvious one to me. I do love the Sunshine figures and if I can work up the courage to take the 100 odd different Sunshine figures I have off my display shelves for some pictures they certainly will be featured in a future MMMM. I am happy I added this Quik figure, pity though the figure is packaged backwards, if only I could somehow flip it without opening the pack.

The #22 figure was bought primarily because it was so cheap. I like the figure as well, but I would have preferred the #23 figure. I spent quite a bit on the #15, so #22 it is! At least it’s packaged front facing.

Would I add more figures? Possibly. Owning the can would be a nice touch as well, but it’s so overpriced it scares me off wanting one. Maybe someday I’ll bite the bullet on that one too.
