Stir Up Saturday – Kid FLAF

Where does the time go?!?!

Where does the time go?!?!

With every SUS I find myself declaring a version of, “Can you believe it’s been five years?”

I’ve been doing that for over a year. I should be able to believe it.

I am going to permit myself to do it one last time because of this Sociology 200 post. Today that little guy must be around six years old.

When I was about six years old I came out to my living room and saw all of my Christmas presents. There were two Hoth playsets already set-up with Snowtroopers. I projectile vomited from excitement.

That story is 100% true. I wish it for every six-year-old.

Yes, it’s weird to wish projectile vomiting on a child. Trust me, it’s totally worth it.

That post also made me wish more Sociology entries would be submitted. If you have anything to add to these courses, then please do not hesitate to email me your submission.

I believe two reasons stand in the way of not getting more submissions: (1) the M.U.S.C.L.E. community is beginning its decline; and (2) people are lazy.

NEW

New Nerf Ninja

The second reason isn’t a cheap shot. I could have said “too busy,” but I think lazy is more accurate. I know that there are lots of things that I need to do. But at the end of the day, I’m too lazy to do some most all of them.

Sociology 100 is probably the exception to that idea. I don’t think people have many childhood pictures with their M.U.S.C.L.E. figures.

Can you believe there was a time when the Nerf Ninja was undocumented? Now there are three of them.

Actually, there are four of them and I am an idiot.

The Nerf Ninja “discovery” took place in November of 2011. But I may have had the figure sitting in my own collection.

I posted the above “family picture” in March of 2014. Obviously that is after the 2011 discovery. But I don’t think I added any figures to my collection for years.

I could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time. But it serves as a constant reminder to pay closer attention. If I let an undocumented FLAF sit in a drawer, then shame on me.

Does anyone else have some forgotten gems hidden away in a box or drawer?

If you don’t know, then you should probably double check.

Sorry Kid Flash. I said,

Sorry Kid Flash. I said, “Kid FLAF.”
