The first auction, M.U.S.C.L.E Men Lot 150 + Original Poster muscle men, was an emotional roller coaster – even if it was very brief roller coaster. As I was scanning the search results I was both excited and curious when I first saw the auction picture.
“Wow, that’s a big pile. I want to see that poster’s condition,” I wondered to myself as I clicked.
I was immediately horrified as I saw the large auction picture. What monster could fold a poster like that?!?!
The poster stole my attention, but the green feet quickly brought me back to the figures. I went from legitimately excited to legitimately saddened in a few short seconds. But can I admit something?
I still did a quick scan for Non-Poster figures.
The second auction, VINTAGE LOT OF 15 1980s M.U.S.C.L.E. MEN FIGURES – MUSCLE MEN KINNIKUMAN, makes me wonder why people are bidding so much for 15 M.U.S.C.L.E. figures?
Just kidding. We all see the Satan Cross.
There was something that made me wonder. Why does the lack of feedback bother me so much for this auction?
Everything seems fine. The auction started at $9.99 and there aren’t any red flags. Why would the lack of feedback make me so apprehensive? I’m stumped. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Am I alone on this one?
The third auction, M.U.S.C.L.E. Men Lot – Wrestling Belt and 23 Vintage Muscle Figures, made me say, “Really?”
When I saw the belt, cans, and figures I baulked at the $35 opening bid.
I realized the baulking was the result of my own belt-bias. I always think a used belt is worthless. They’re always so badly worn; scratched; missing pieces. But that’s not always true (even if it’s usually true).
Once I looked past my bias, I realized the lot could be the most perfectly priced lot I have ever seen.
$10 for a loose belt.
$5 for the two cans.
$17.25 for the 23 figures ($0.75 per figure).
That’s $32.25. Factor in a +/- of $5 and you simply can’t argue with the price.

I think the poster of the belt auction would do better to post the picture of ALL the items in the premier photo rather than just the belt. I overlooked that auction thinking it was just the belt (clearly I didn’t read/ look closely enough).
