Monday Morning M.U.S.C.L.E. Musings #112

I am no longer insane.

For the entirety of my participation in the M.U.S.C.L.E. community I have argued that Satan Cross was just a Flesh figure. I have argued he wasn’t worth more than other Flesh figures. From the years 2003 to 2007 I tracked every SC auction on eBay (that I could find). I wanted data to show that he wasn’t worth as much as many people believed or suggested.

I am no longer insane.

I saw this Satann Cross auction on Friday night and a calmness washed over me. I don’t care anymore. For, at least, 15 years I have tried to use data and logic to win an emotional argument.

I think over-spending, and the overall hype, on the #153 figure is stupid. But I’m done with that too.

For some people this realization might sound silly, but it is paradigm shifting for me because I had an emotional connection to the data. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still roll my eyes when a person spends $100 on SC. I’m just not going to use logic or data to suggest they are wrong.

I wanted to see if I could dig through LRG and find when I got my SC. I couldn’t find anything. I did find a #195 Needed post I made in May of 2003. It was the last figure I needed for my Flesh Set. It’s pretty funny that the thread derails into people suggesting #195 is harder to track down than SC.

Is it safe to assume I had SC before May of 2003?

That’s crazy.
