Stir Up Saturday – Satisfaction

Satisfaction. When I see a group of posts like the ones below I feel very satisfied.

It’s not pride either. There’s things in each of the posts that I would alter, tweak, and do differently today. But this is a good grouping of posts. They are interesting. They were interesting to me five years ago and they are interesting to me today. I am very satisfied with my effort to keep M.U.S.C.L.E. interesting and fun.

As I look back at MMMM, this time MMMM #13, I’m starting to realize I really love his large group shots. The variety that some of these figures have as Keshi figures is impressive to me.

Being a pretty strict collector, M.U.S.C.L.E. figures and occasional custom or new minifigures, these shots take me out of my comfort zone in a very comfortable way. Well done Terry; and thank you!

There was certainly a fashionable theme happening five years ago. I’m still not crazy about the Seibei t-shirt, but I did like some of his new t-shirts.

As much as I liked the new t-shirts, nothing compares to the M.U.S.C.L.E. sweatshirt. God damn I love that sweatshirt. I still think it is the best sweatshirt I have ever owned.

The MISHKA brand has clearly evolved. I don’t think they are selling sweatshirts to 40 year old dads.

Based on the sweatshirt picture I selected for the sweatshirt, I assume you’re thinking that the post “hit me in the feels.” You would be 100% correct.

That’s a baby Dr. M.U.S.C.L.E. I’m hanging out with at the museum. He’s going to turn 11 next week. Typing that sentence makes me feel like so much has been done, but also that the time rocketed past me. I hope that feeling indicates that it has been time well spent.

I need to get a tissue. There’s a dust storm.

That dust storm left quite a mess, thankfully the Housekeeping Staff showed up. If you didn’t know what the UofM Housekeeping staff looked like, then the video below shows one the staff on their day off. They all look the same.

I re-watched that video (as a service for this post; I must do my due diligence). I love the girl in blue shooting daggers out of her eyes. That cracked me up.

Can anyone tell me the story on that Yellow figure from AW #140? What’s he from? Could MUSCLEMANIA #4 be based on that figure?

Finally, there was the Epilogue. Those videos still made me laugh. I hope other people did too.

And that toy store picture makes me want to get back to work on my time machine.

The tired cliche is, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.” With M.U.S.C.L.E. that was never true for me. I loved it. I wanted more of it, but my parents weren’t going to spend more money on it. Damn them for putting food and shelter ahead of M.U.S.C.L.E. toys.
