Objective:
This custom M.U.S.C.L.E. figure was designed, built, and cast by Free Karate Chops. It is cast in resin. It is unknown what colors were available.

The figure costs $10 (and is still available). The buyer receives a random color. I received a glossier M.U.S.C.L.E.-like green.

The figure is built on the base of a #78 figure. The feet are different than the #78 figure. They look like the #16 figure’s boots, but fury boots may have been added and they look similar to the boots of the #16 figure.

The shield appears to be constructed from the #127 figure’s hands. The face on the shield looks to be from either the #188 or #198 figure.

The sword looks very similar to the original He-Man sword. But it could come from a different He-Man line (e.g., He-Man Mega Construx).

Back of Header Card

Subjective:
Like the Power Claw 5000 review, I need to start with an embarrassing admission. Free Karate Chops wasn’t on my radar. Shame on me. I didn’t know he was making any minifigures. Then I saw his Lapel Pin and it instantly took me to his online store.

I was pleasantly surprised to see custom M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. They were an easy addition to my pin order.

I should mention that my camera, and your eyes, aren’t bad. The back of the header card is a little blurry, but who cares?

The Ragnar was the figure that instantly demanded my attention. I knew he was going in my shopping cart. I was hoping for a Flesh-like version. That’s always my preferred default. When I saw the green color my first thought was, “Damn it. I hope this photographs ok.”

Taking pictures of green figures, for reasons I can’t figure out, are always a little difficult. I feel like the details get washed out. And it is a shame, because this figure looks awesome in-person. I started wondering, “When was the last time I bought a kit-bashed figure?”

Shield Face

It’s been quite some time. And this was the perfect figure to jump-start chasing down these types of figures.

My absolute favorite part of the figure is the shield. I don’t feel like I captured how cool it looks in-person. I apologize because it’s so awesome; great idea and very well executed.

This is a figure that M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors should add to their collection.

There was a nice surprise with my order (the lapel pin and several figures). It was the multicolored figure seen below.

I was a little confused at first because I didn’t remember ordering him, but I was instantly interested. I did a little digging and found this picture. It turns out that the four figure set was an extra if you bought the Fire Pro Wrestling deluxe edition video game.

I believe this figure is The Ungovernable from New Japan Pro Wrestling.

I wouldn’t buy a NJPW set of figures, because I’m not a NJPW fan. However, I’d have a hard time resisting an entire set with marbling color like this figure.
