“At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth; and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time.”
– Friedrich Nietzsche
A beautiful quote; representative of all the different types of people that make up the M.U.S.C.L.E. community. Each collector brings something unique to the hobby, whether it has a positive effect or a negative effect. Hopefully collectors strive to have a positive effect and efforts like the 233 Counterfeit Collection, Art 300, and Sociology 100, 200, and 300 suggest that most collectors succeed in positively impacting the community.
Occasionally, an attempt at positive contribution is historically bad. On May 5th, 2010 a historically bad contribution to the M.U.S.C.L.E. community was made by booginsroc on YouTube. Hopefully Nietzsche is right and there is no extraordinary chance that such a video ever be put together a second time.

Originally, the above video was going to be reviewed as part of the Website Review series. However, it seemed ridiculous to attempt a review of the video. From start to finish, everything is wrong with this video – most notably:
1. It’s too long.
2. It’s almost entirely out of focus.
3. The song choice is mystifying.
4. The relatively interesting setting is constantly interrupted by cabinets, chairs, carpet, and computers.
The quality of YouTube videos span the full spectrum of watchability. If the subset of M.U.S.C.L.E. videos were collectively placed on that spectrum, sadly they would probably be grouped quite low on the spectrum of watchability. And this specific video is arguably the least watchable M.U.S.C.L.E. video on YouTube.
Instead of continuing to pile on the negatives and shortcomings of this video, the University of M.U.S.C.L.E. wants the M.U.S.C.L.E. community to turn it into something positive. Terrible films like Plan 9 from Outer Space and Troll 2 are examples of terrible films that somehow found a way to transcend their original failures and become beacons of fun and enjoyment. Perhaps the M.U.S.C.L.E. community will be able to do the same thing with “Action figure and space creature party.”
Create and submit new content based on the “Action figure and space creature party” video. Submissions could include parody videos, drawings, movie posters, comics, or anything you are inspired to create. All of the submissions will be posted. This is not a contest, simply an effort to take arguably the worst singular part of the M.U.S.C.L.E. community and turn it into one of the most fun parts of the M.U.S.C.L.E. community.
Please email all entries to the University of M.U.S.C.L.E.. Please include your name, any website you would like attributed to your name, and a brief description about your piece and how the original video inspired you to create your piece. Thank you in advance for all submissions!

My submission for the video you reviewed is…
This is why stop motion was created and most popular with toys!
M.U.S.C.L.E.S were meant to wrestle, and the majority of viewers will always agree!

Can’t wait to see what comes out of this.
