Art 200 – Custom M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures

Art 100 highlights manufacturers who mimicked or directly copied M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. These manufacturers were concerned with rushing an inferior product to market, with zero or minimal originality, to capitalize on a popular trend. These M.U.S.C.L.E. figure customizers are not trying to doing this.

The custom figures allow the creators to do two main things: (1) showcase their ingenuity and creativity; and (2) provide collectors with pieces of art inspired by their favorite toy line. These pieces are often created in limited quantities, and most exhibit completely unique characteristics.

Creativity and originality are rarely found in a long discontinued toy line. Thanks to these creative people new and interesting M.U.S.C.L.E. figures can still be discovered. These artists and their figures are a true treasure to the M.U.S.C.L.E. community.

That’s because I haven’t written it yet. Plus I still need to snap a few pictures.

It was easier for me to have a blank placeholder. I guess I should have used the friendly UofM construction bear to illustrate it was a work in progress.
