Auction Watch #102

The first auction, Lot of 1980’s-90’s figures – hasbro – muscle men…., is one of the coolest lots of little figures ever. And given that the current price is already $130 lots of people think so too.

This is the type of lot that little figure collectors dream about finding at a garage sale, boot sale, estate sale with a $5 price tag on it. Even at its current price of $130 it’s a great deal for these approximately 96 figures (the count could be off one or two – it wasn’t worth counting again).

For M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors the focus will certainly be on the Satan Cross included in the lot. Monster In My Pocket and Battle Beast collectors may be targeting specific figures too – which makes predicting a final price incredibly difficult. So difficult, that it’s not worth trying. This will simply be a fascinating auction to watch play-out.

The second auction, MUSCLE Men Bootleg 6-pack sealed M.U.S.C.L.E., might cause some people to think they are looking at Auction Watch #101 (because UofM readers are so loyal they would instantly make that connection).

Once again our friend Kyle is listing one of his, at least, three sealed packaged Frankenstein-like Amalgam figure sets (be sure to check UofMUSCLE.com tomorrow too for an in-depth look at these figures).

The last set sold for $41. Will the first buyer need this second set? Will other bidders not want to lose again? Both of these reasons could significantly drive the price higher. And one other factor (to be pointed out tomorrow) could drive the price even higher.

The final price of the second auction will be $56.50.

The third auction, Rare MUSCLE Men French/Canadian Sealed Colored 10-pack M.U.S.C.L.E., is also be sold by our friend Kyle. In March the sale price of a French-Canadian 10-pack (potentially this exact 10-pack) was $133.50. About three months later there is nothing to suggest a radical shift in the price.

The final price of the third auction will be $132.25.

The fourth auction, MUSCLE musclemen m.u.s.c.l.e. LOT 120, is another great lot of figures – this time exclusively 120 mixed M.U.S.C.L.E. figures.

This auction really has the trifecta of a great M.U.S.C.L.E. auction – clear pictures, low starting bid, and fair shipping costs. This is a great opportunity to add a large number of figures to toy boxes or collections.

The final price of the fourth auction will be $65.

first auction with the satan cross has what appears to be a black marker dot on the upper right hand of the figure just above the tip of the sword. 🙁 bummer but still will push the price up for those collectors searching for a satan cross

Hey, I won that fourth auction! I’m getting back into collecting M.U.S.C.L.E., and needed a good, colorful lot to recapture the excitement. This was the perfect lot, and I was surprised I got it for so low.

Seeing the lot mentioned here is great validation!
