Trying to keep things manageable – so this Auction Watch is brief.
The first auction, M.U.S.C.L.E. MAN FIGURE MUSCLE ROBOT GUY Y/S N.T KINNIKUMAN VINTAGE TOY RARE, caught my attention on curiosity factor alone. The auction features a single #169 figure. The price starts at $0.01 and it has free shipping. I can’t imagine that it will go for even a dollar, but I’ll be curious to watch.
The first auction is the sanest auction I’ve seen in a very long time.
By contrast, the second auction, 60 #060 – GREEN – M.U.S.C.L.E MEN figure RARE MUSCLE MAN ORIGINAL Y/S NT, might be one of the most ridiculous auctions I’ve seen in a long time. Let’s pretend, just for a second, that the figure was a Class A figure (again, it isn’t – but let’s pretend).
The last Class A #60 figure sold for $10.That’s $10 for a Class A figure. This second auction features a regular, Class C, Green #60 figure. A pretty dirty looking one too. So this seller has listed this dirty, Class C, Green #60 for 398% more than a legitimate, seemingly mint condition, Class A, Salmon #60.
No wonder M.U.S.C.L.E. auctions on eBay are in trouble.
