The goal of Auction Watch is to focus on interesting auctions. This week there are four interesting auctions. But in this case, the end result of the auction may be as interesting as the auction itself.
The first three auctions come from the owner of LittleRubberGuys.com – which means you don’t have to worry about the seller. The first three auctions are Class A figures with starting prices of $0.99.
All three figures look to be in great condition, but #165 looks to have a little scuffing on his feet and fingers. These Class A figures are interesting because they are not the ones that instantly draw excitement and insanity. Watching what their final price, starting with a $0.99 opening bid, will be is as much fun as the auction itself.
Auction Watch has not tracked a Class A #165 or #190 auction. The last time a Salmon #179 showed up, in a lot of three Class A figures, it sold for $2.47. Based on popularity the Class A Green #190 will sell for the most, but what will that price be? Odds are that he will be in the $20 or less group. The last auction, Kinnikuman Romando Six Figure Set – Ultimate Muscle, isn’t exactly a M.U.S.C.L.E. item. It is clearly a Kinnikuman item. Because of that there is zero familiarity with the item, price, or anything related to the auction.
However, it features one of the all-time best auction pictures. The picture literally makes you want to click the BIN button even if you don’t know if it’s a good price. The picture makes you want to collect and learn more about these figures.
Will other M.U.S.C.L.E. collector agree? Watching the outcome of the auction will be as much fun as the auction itself – or, at least, as much fun as that stunning auction picture.
