Kinnikuman Part: Ten
English Translated Kinnikuman Name: Kinnikuman E
Anecdotal Collector Name(s): “Is this the ring figure?”
Versions Available: Flesh, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Red, Salmon, Magenta, Purple
Other Notes: This was the fifth kinkeshi version of the Kinnikuman character, which is why he has the “E” designation. This figure had a hilarious, brief period of infamy. The figure also confuses many collectors because they are unsure if they have a Flesh #141 or Flesh Muscleman Ring Figure (a simple explanation is offered below.)
Properly identifying the #141 and the Ring Figure is probably the most difficult identification task for M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors – unless the collector had both figures. The #141 figure is larger than the Ring Figure.
If the collector didn’t have both figures, then, because the belt buckles are slightly different, the belt buckle was suggested as the simplest way to tell the two figures apart. That can be very difficult for an inexperienced collector with only one of the two figures.
Many collectors end up with a #153 in their collection. The #153 figure serves as a great tool to properly identify the figure. If the figure is taller than #153, then you have a #141. If the figure is smaller than #153, then you have the Ring Version of the figure.
Simpler yet, you can just measure the figure. If the figure is over 1 3/4 inches, then you have a #141 figure. If the figure is under 1 3/4 inches, then you have the Ring Version of the figure.
