The first item of note is the new discovery of a Dr. Bombay figure (also sometimes known as Dr. Bonbe). Dr. Bombay is a Non-Poster figure and has been discussed heavily in History 300 and the Beta grouping of Philosophy 200.

This further discovery truly helps to solidify the idea that Dr. Bombay is a Beta figure – not an Alpha figure. The blue specks on the figure also specifically suggest that the figure came from a 4-pack.

The most important part of this discovery? Dr. Bombay is for sale. It currently appears that the figure may be sold as part of a LittleRubberGuys.com board auction. However, an official sale, or board auction, thread has not yet been constructed.

In the meantime, keep an eye on this thread. The University of M.U.S.C.L.E. also fully endorses the seller of this auction known as ironmask on LittleRubberGuys.com. He has had two extended posting periods on the LRG board. The first one may have been more combative and immature (who wasn’t that way ~8 years ago?), but the second phase showed marked maturity and growth. It was that second phase that provides the confidence that this Dr. Bombay is 100% authentic. Plus, it’s pretty hard to argue with these pictures:

The second discovery was also posted on LittleRubberGuys.com by Hawkeye (also known as stoneyface). The discovery was that a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure was within a movie. For Star Wars or He-Man collectors this type of discovery is not a big deal. Those figures have been feature in movies like E.T. and The Princess Bride. However, M.U.S.C.L.E. figures have never been identified in any movie or T.V. show.

Until Haweye watched the short film The Touch of the Master’s Hand. The figures appear at about the 5:50 mark of the ~19 minute movie. The screen captures are courtesy of Eric Nilla.

The third discovery is currently unconfirmed. It appears that M.U.S.C.L.E. figures may be in the movie School of Rock. They are possibly placed, in a jar, on the teacher’s desk. The jar is question can be seen at the 2:07 mark in the movie’s trailer.

Is anyone able to confirm the contents of that jar?
