M.U.S.C.L.E. Figure Guide – Peer Review

At the onset of this University of M.U.S.C.L.E. endeavor, one specific goal was to provide a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure guide. In an effort to produce the most widely accept figure guide it seemed beneficial to submit the unfinished guide for a peer-review to M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors. Thank you to all potential participants in this process.

There are several M.U.S.C.L.E. items that collectors would likely categorize as rare. However there is only one M.U.S.C.L.E. item that can be 100% authenticated as a prototype M.U.S.C.L.E. item – the Hot Wheels M.U.S.C.L.E. HiWay Hauler.
History 400 explores the history of the M.U.S.C.L.E. and the Hot Wheels HiWay Hauler.

The 4-Pack

The 4-pack packaging allowed for a child to see the four figures they would be purchasing. Today collectors can see the differences in English and French-Canadian cards, changes to the back of the cards, and consider the potential of 140 possible 4-pack combinations. This entry on the 4-pack is a subcategory of History 100.
Hard Knockin’ Rockin’ Ring Wrestling Arena

A wrestling ring accessory makes the most sense for a group of wrestling figures. Mattel recognized they could use some existing parts from Bandai’s release of previous versions of the ring. The box art shows a seemingly metallic clasp. Unfortunately Mattel decided to use a brittle plastic on the figure clamps and this toy was easily broken.
