The mystery is the third listing. It started at $79.99. I figure there was no way it would receive a single bid. Not only did it get a bid – it got TWO?!?! Both of the bidders only made one bid in the last 30 days. It was this listing. Why? How? I don’t get it.
Sometimes there’s no sane explanation. I think this is one of those times.
When I saw the first listing, M.U.S.C.L.E Action Figures – Muscle Men Figures – Lot of 29, I was going to say it was a nice little lot. Far from perfect, but we don’t get many of those anymore. Seeing a decent lot starting at about $0.52 wasn’t too bad in comparison to the rest of the eBay dumpster fire. But then I saw those two faded board game figures. My mind instantly shifted to the faded #33.
I want to cut those two figures up. Badly.
I think I’ve created my own M.U.S.C.L.E. subgroup – faded cutters. I probably need to work on the name. But it is so interesting to me. Do those figures ave the classic board game Purple at their core? I need to know.
I have a zip-lock bag full of them at home. The Jonestown of M.U.S.C.L.E. collecting could be on the horizon.
The last two listings were selected because of the $81 Small Lot. I didn’t expect it to sell, but it sold. Listed below are two listings that have not sold for an incredibly longtime. It made me wonder, “Are we in a new period of M.U.S.C.L.E. pricing?”
Are we seen a general increase in the worthless stuff? And a decrease in the absurdly expensive?
Someone (actually two) was willing to spend eighty bucks on shit. But most of the recent Class A auctions have been in the $20-range. Are we seeing more people interested in the figures broadly, but no interest in the “rare?” It is starting to feel like that to me.
What do you guys think?

The Kinnikuman M.U.S.C.L.E Kinkeshi RamenMan Kinkeshi SUPER RARE Magnificent 11 sold for $1500. I’m pretty sure there is some bologna behind the auction.
