I was working on something else and it brought me back to a Sunday Paper. Why didn’t the Sunday Paper work?
There were 16 posts over four years, and six of those were continuations. Eight completely novel posts over four years.
There are probably three reasons:
- Nothing to say
- I imagine every M.U.S.C.L.E. collector has a passing M.U.S.C.L.E. thought. It could be about buying, selling, or anything. I know I do. But those passing thoughts aren’t really a write-up. I’ve actually had ideas to write, but there’s no evidence to support it. I hate the idea of writing something that can’t be proven true, nor can it be proven false. That doesn’t seem fun to read and even less fun to discuss.
- Consuming is easier
- I get it. I love movies. I’ve never written one.
- Not worth the effort
- This website survives exclusively through intrinsic satisfaction. If someone submits an article, there isn’t an immediate dopamine rush. It won’t post until Sunday. It’s easier to post, and get that dopamine, on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, or whatever else.
Maybe I’m just basing it on my youngest. Am I missing anything else?
It’s probably for the best there were only 16 posts. I was running out of newspaper gifs I liked.
If you’re feeling inspired, and can follow some basic rules, then please send in your article and pictures to UofMUSCLE@gmail.com.

Good to see you back. I enjoyed people’s Sunday Paper entries and I, also, enjoyed submitting them. I wrote another one awhile back but I didn’t submit it because I didn’t see you update for awhile. I encourage people to write for the Sunday Paper. It gives the site some additional variety.
