Hard Knockin’ Rockin’ Ring Update

Auction Watch #168 highlighted what was possibly the first documented French-Canadian version of the Hard Knockin’ Rockin’ Ring Wrestling Arena.

The auction received one bid. The bid came from me because I wanted to document the box. The ring became a toy for my boys, but that’s another story (which will be shared in this week’s Epilogue).

Below are the efforts of my documentation, plus a few comments. The pictures have also been added to the Hard Knockin’ Rockin’ Ring Wrestling Arena portion of the website.

Price Tag

The box is interesting, but I am always a sucker for price tags. This particular price tag (even if it is covered in years of gross hair, fuzz, and dirt) is from Home Hardware.

I think having an easily identifiable Canadian company adds mountains of charm. Even more interesting, to me, is that the city and zip code are given for the store. If you wanted, you could still visit the Home Hardware where this box originated.

I don’t think I could convince a single soul to make the over three hour pilgrimage to a hardware store. But I would be a liar if I said I didn’t think about it.

I like it even better when Terri-Bull says, “IMBECILE!”
