Epilogue – Week of February 7th

I don’t know what the Epilogue end product will look like this week. I like to have a few ideas or thought starters jotted down during the week. It didn’t happen this week. And I’m starting this post with an overall tank near empty.

Forget the auction, does anyone have jpg of that Kinnikuman kicking?
If you fail to daydream about finding a Non-Poster figure at the bottom, then just stop collecting.
When I see a lot like this one, my brain shows me the gif to the right.
He took the time to set them up, but took the picture from this angle?
Simply one of the better lots available. Can you believe it always used to be like this?
Another pretty good mixed lot.
I wouldn’t pay $24 for this lot. What do you think the buyer wants?
Hello to our old friend Satan Cross.
Um. No.

Coming out of the holidays I mentioned that my boys loved the Battle of Jakku toy. It doesn’t get the same about of play two months later, but it still gets a fair amount of use. I noticed in one of the many banner ads that it’s now over 50% off. It is a great deal! If you need a birthday gift in the somewhat near future, then I can’t endorse this toy enough. I would recommend a few extra ships too. This isn’t a bad choice.

Thanks to LRG I discovered this:

Not sure if you guys would find more of these entertaining or not… let me know

What do you guys think?

I liked two things and I have two suggestions.

First, I love the length of the video. One minute figure reviews are a great idea. Legitimately a great, great idea. I wish I would have thought of it. And second, I’m a sucker for anything M.U.S.C.L.E. related. It always makes me happy.

My first suggestion is pretty simple – keep it in focus. It’s only a minute long, it shouldn’t be out of focus for most of the video. And since it’s only a minute, would it be so difficult to reshoot it?

My second suggestion – have something interesting to say. It’s a one minute review, but almost nothing is said about the figure. Talking about the history of M.U.S.C.L.E. isn’t a review. And he ends with the most interesting comment, “This is my favorite toy.” He finally said something interesting, but then the video ends. Please tell me why it is your favorite. I would be interested to hear that information.

I thought it was cool because it was muscle related and short but I don’t think he’s educated enough on the subject or characters themselves.
