Tweak and 28-Pack Updates

Tweak

Eric P. wanted to share an previously undocumented Tweak (at the bottom of the page) with M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors.

This figure is interesting for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, this isn’t technically a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure. However the figure falls into a X-2-like category. He is a Kinnikuman figure, The Fishers (they were twins), from Part 5 of the line.

It looks like they just chopped off his antenna and added a hoop at the top – pretty standard tweaking. But it is interesting that the counterfeiter decided to use a Non-M.U.S.C.L.E. sculpt.

Original Keshi

The second interesting part of this figure is the material. It is very dissimilar to most Tweaks. It is dissimilar to most counterfeit figures. The exception is T.U.F.F. Guys. It looks somewhat similar to the Non-M.U.S.C.L.E. figures in that collection.

The other update is quite minor. This might be the smallest, least cared about update ever. Seriously. It’s probably even less interesting than this update. However, this site is all about minutia and this is M.U.S.C.L.E. minutia.

The 28-pack archives was missing the Mirror Authentication for the #1 Thug Busters (Logo, Poster) version. That has been corrected.

Mirror Authentication

After spending more than 15 years as a M.U.S.C.L.E. hobbyist I feel very confident that all the available 28-packs have been documented. I believe that there were 10 unique 28-packs made. I believe there were six possible combinations that were not made. The unmade combinations are:

  • Package #1 – Thug Busters (No Logo, No Poster)
  • Package #2 – Cosmic Crunchers (Logo, No Poster)
  • Package #2 – Cosmic Crunchers (No Logo, No Poster)
  • Package #3 – Mighty Maulers (No Logo, No Poster)
  • Package #4 – Cosmic Showdown (Logo, Poster)
  • Package #4 – Cosmic Showdown (No Logo, No Poster)

Are you able to prove me wrong?

If so, then send your evidence to uofmuscle@gmail.com.
