About this time, five years ago, one of my favorite sagas was coming to an end.
If you are new to the site, or easily forget terrible YouTube videos, then you have probably not watched Action Figure and Space Creature Party. Consider yourself lucky.
The video was terrible. Amazingly terrible. It was the kind of thing you watch because you can’t believe the video is so bad – and so sincere. The creator wasn’t trying to make something bad. You could tell he was really putting his heart into the video. But it’s just awful. Seriously. You’ve got to watch it.

Unfortunately the creator of the video probably started to think people were laughing at him. Maybe some mean people were. Most people were having a fun, happy laugh at the video. Our good friend, Lucas Rage, certainly got the joke. He created a sequel and loving homage with his creation: Action Figure and Space Creature Party II.

Apparently the sequel encouraged the re-release of the original video – plus the creation of a third video: Action Figure and Space Creature Party – Part 3: Space Dance. It doesn’t look like that video is on YouTube anymore. Truthfully, that’s ok. It wasn’t very good. And some of the fun was starting to disappear.
I haven’t come across any recent M.U.S.C.L.E. fan videos in a long time. Maybe they’re around, but I haven’t seen them. I think AF&CP happened because Ultimate Muscle had appealed to a younger group of kids than traditional M.U.S.C.L.E. fans. So there was a short period of time when teenagers were going the M.U.S.C.L.E. fandom. That’s what gave us a video like this one.
