Art 300 Changes
Posted by Chad Perry in Art, UofM News on March 9, 2010
Art 300 had originally been designated as a course that would focus on professional modern artists’ work using M.U.S.C.L.E as inspiration. This topic will likely become Art 400. The new idea for Art 300 is to feature the wide array of M.U.S.C.L.E. fans and collectors that express their passion for M.U.S.C.L.E. as art.
The People vs. M.U.S.C.L.E. – Part 2

The People vs. M.U.S.C.L.E. – Part 2 follows the same framework for M.U.S.C.L.E. advertising that had been established the previous year in the two commercials. Sadly, for the final M.U.S.C.L.E. commercial there appears to be a far less focused approach. However, hardcore Color figure collectors likely view this commercial as the single greatest thirty seconds of video ever uncovered.

Auction Watch #30
Posted by Chad Perry in Auction Watch, UofM News on February 3, 2010
The M.U.S.C.L.E. poster has been mentioned several times within the University of M.U.S.C.L.E. The most notable examples are within the 28-Pack Poster Offer and with the clarification that there are only only 2 posters. Hopefully the Advertising & Promotion 100 course, highlighting the poster, will be completed soon. In the meantime, this auction for a “Color” poster is worth highlighting.
Wolf Voigt Custom Figure Review

Art 100 highlights creators who simply mimicked the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. Art 200 highlights custom pieces of art for M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors. When Wolf Voigt’s custom figures started to appear and get noticed by the M.U.S.C.L.E community it was not immediately clear which, if any, course classification he deserved. A review of one of his figures might help clear up that confusion.

These pictures are from the summer of 2009, likely June. My son, about 20 months old, had grabbed some extra figures that had been part of an eBay purchase. My plan to have everything neatly put away before he woke up was spoiled. It was probably the most fun I have ever had with M.U.S.C.L.E. figures.

Claw (#153) Madness
Posted by Chad Perry in UofM News on December 7, 2009
Normally the University of M.U.S.C.L.E. tries to highlight interesting auctions before they have closed in Auction Watch. An auction titled, Kinnikuman M.U.S.C.L.E. MUSCLES #153 CLAW COLORED, was not highlighted because it was simply four common #153 figures in Dark Blue, Light Blue, Red, and Orange.
The LRG user, Boaconda, noted that the auction was becoming quite interesting and wanted the University of M.U.S.C.L.E. to document the bizarre event.
