Auction Watch #30

The M.U.S.C.L.E. poster has been mentioned several times within the University of M.U.S.C.L.E. The most notable examples are within the 28-Pack Poster Offer and with the clarification that there are only only 2 posters. Hopefully the Advertising & Promotion 100 course, highlighting the poster, will be completed soon. In the meantime, this auction for a “Color” poster is worth highlighting.

The 28-Pack Poster Offer looked into the minutia of the poster-offer. Syosset, New York was one of the main topics of interest. John Delin, from A Syosset Scrapbook, attempted to help research further into the Syosset-M.U.S.C.L.E. connection.
Only 2 M.U.S.C.L.E. Posters

In the previous 28-pack poster offer write-up there had been mention of a Color M.U.S.C.L.E. poster that was completely devoid of any Flesh M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. This is untrue.
The University of M.U.S.C.L.E. apologizes for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused. This mix-up only strengthens the need for all M.U.S.C.L.E. data to be organized and centralized in one location.
The 28-Pack Poster Offer
Posted by Chad Perry in Advertising & Promotion, UofM News on September 28th, 2009
A piece of the 28-packs worthy of its own dissection is the poster offer. For many collectors it is specifically the small picture accompanying the poster offer that elicits discussion. No single piece of tangible M.U.S.C.L.E. information causes so much speculation. For many collectors it fuels the theory that all the Kinnikuman sculpts were originally slated for Mattel’s M.U.S.C.L.E. release. Others simply consider it a place-holding throwaway picture.
