When I started Stir Up Saturday it was an effort to maximize the production of new content. It also got a little more usage out of some older posts that didn’t always fit into a perfect category. As I looked back today it felt like looking at a high school yearbook. I recognized parts, and it felt vaguely familiar, but more than anything it seems like a different time and a different person. Enough about me.
This post is certainly something I forgot about. Maybe M.U.S.C.L.E. figures will show up in the second season of Stranger Things?
I doubt it, but M.U.S.C.L.E. figures would be a great addition to the set of anything with a 80’s setting.
I’m probably burying the lead by not talking about the Dr. Bombay first. I think there has only been one additional Dr. Bombay that has shown up since that LRG sale. Could that be right? It doesn’t feel right. That figure sold for $1,770. I can’t find anything that I wrote, at the time, about the price. I wish I could because I feel complete indifference today. The sale price could have been $7,700 and I wouldn’t care.
Ok, I might think that was a total waste of money – but I certainly wouldn’t care. I imagine the hardest part of continuing the website will be finding an emotional connection/reaction to the current world of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. Having an emotional reaction makes writing easier. I imagine it’s more interesting to read too. We’ll see.
I’m curious how this post will make me feel in five years.
