Stir Up Saturday – On Friday

Poll Results

Since the Epilogue (Did you see the two updates in the post?) was rushed to press yesterday, SUS should help cover the Friday void. There won’t be anything Saturday. Deal with it.

The voting ended and Knight Moves and seven more figures were added to the virtual archive.

Super Grover would have been a good name too. Bloodthorn didn’t even get a vote. That means the person that submitted it even thought, “Yeah, this isn’t very good.” That gave me just a modicum of sadness.

Auction Watch #169 only go the 69 joke in the write-up. Only proper 69 posts get it in the title. I think it’s a nice little AW. It doesn’t feel like we see those odd, little lots anymore. When we do, the prices have become even more absurd than five years ago.

Speaking of prices, there was more Class A discussion. I wish I could tell five-years-ago-Chad that it would only get worse. And it’s not the Class A stuff, it’s the regular stuff. I don’t think I would even try for a Flesh set these days. In fact, if I rediscovered my figures today I’d probably just sell them. The mystery of M.U.S.C.L.E. intrigued me as much, if not more, than the figures. I started buying lots and lots of figures to discover what was “out there.”

That’s over. We all know what is out there. Sure, an occasional surprise will arise. But the heavy lifting is over. I don’t think it would hook me the same way.

The picture to the left, from the Epilogue, still made me laugh five years later. I have a certain weakness in my brain that will make me laugh every time I see it.

I’m also glad I didn’t say shit about September 11th. It was hard to believe 14 years had passed five years ago, but 19 makes it even more insane.

I wish this post was required reading before selling a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure. Actually, it should be assigned reading to every M.U.S.C.L.E. collector.

Given what I’ve seen and heard lately, Elementary M.U.S.C.L.E. Education should be the prerequisite before you’re allowed to even be considered a M.U.S.C.L.E. collector.

Just in case you couldn’t see the gif on the homepage. Here it is again:
