Anything related to Silver Boat Claw has been covered. There’s nothing to add to this Silver Boat Claw-centric post.
I will however reuse the gif from that post. It didn’t have anything to do with the post then and it doesn’t now.
Next up we have MMMM #60. Five years later I appreciate this post much more.
When MMMM was really humming I could take it for granted. What can I say? I’m human.
What I love about this post upon revisiting is the finite nature of the set. To me Deka keshi have always been nice, but…hmmm…a hill I wasn’t interested in climbing. Having this very specific set is more attractive to me today. I’d like this set of 13 figures.
I also like the note about the color consistency. Every Deka that has passed through my collection has varied in color. Obviously some of the discoloration is due to time and wear, but a nice clean set is really nice. And to my surprise, I like the chase figure – which is almost always untrue for me.
Do you know what I remember most clearly about AW #178? The gif on the homepage. I mentioned I was feeling happy and this gif was supposed to further illustrate that feeling. Amazingly, every time I see it – I feel happy it makes me smile.
The actual write-up isn’t quite as special. Although I did enjoy thinking about the pure absurdity of the Nestle Quik promotion again. It’s such a perfect 80’s thing for M.U.S.C.L.E. to have done.
There was the #153 entry into the Figure Guide. I don’t want to talk about the #153 figure. That happens often enough.I do want to talk about this Hard Knockin’ Rockin’ Ring Update. I think this is the epitome of my M.U.S.C.L.E. passion. Nobody else wanted it, not many people were interested, and I looked up the actual address of the store it was sold in. That’s not meant to be self-congratulatory. I think it just illustrates my unique relationship with the hobby.
And finally there’s the Epilogue. Thank you again to Seth and go check out his business: Instagram (@MadCapBalloons) and Facebook (MadCap Balloons).
